DESCRIPTION:Saskatchewan’s research and development centres are developing new sustainable crops and food product innovations, with a special focus on plant protein. Since pulse crops need less fertilizer and their root systems sequester carbon, 2.15 million tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions were reduced by Saskatchewan growers in 2021, by growing pulse crops, which is equivalent to taking 467,000 cars off the road. Join Premier Scott Moe and partners as they discuss how Saskatchewan is leading the way in sustainable crop and food production.
